I don’t usually go out much for metalcore/deathcore but this album would easily make my shortlist. Emotionally captivating with great storytelling and an overall solid musical performance. 7/10 RJ
Midwestern prog-metal stalwarts go for the throat on their new EP, featuring a roiling cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “1979.” Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
Not reducing Mark Poida to his past work, but this EP is everything I wanted Aversions Crown to sound like after Xenocide and more. This man is one of my favourite vocalists, so finding out that he returned was delightful.
Both tracks are massive in multiple ways: each is running over five minutes, the lyrics are telling dark stories, the vocal performance is diverse and brutal plus the whole instrumental section, including the ambience, is sheer wizardry thanks to David Freeland. What a trip! David Fischer
